Weekend Fun with Thing Two and Thing One!

With the sun coming out and the sky turning blue,
A fun weekend awaited Thing One and Thing Two.
Time with grandparents, we're lucky - all four!
We can't wait to be spoiled, plus learn some more!

I’ll describe their weekend by typing this letter
Sure, a letter with blether, but what could be better
Than sharing the warm sunny weather together!

Sunlight peeks through the window; Things start early.
A chance to go out? They’ll take it, surely!
It’s surely early and the Things are squirrelly;
But we all eat first so we won’t get so surly.

So eager and able, no need for a table,
Let’s eat on the deck, we’re certainly able.

Then it’s down to the garage, where wheels abound
We’ll circle the block, around and around.
With John in his truck and Mike on his trike,
New sights and fresh air, so what’s not to like?

We take our wagon for a push, not a pull
For a life that is easy is a life that is dull.
There’s more fun to be had, this is just the beginning
Soon to Grandpa's our wheels will be spinning!
Grandma’s treats aren’t thinning, wonder why we are grinning?

With a yard that’s so much bigger than home,
Wide open spaces are perfect to roam.

Honking the horn and toting the pigskin
Taking pictures while eating to brother’s chagrin.

Home on Sunday, what to do for another fun day?
Having more grandparent time is one way.
They brought cake and candy, so what is the rub?
We need to help grandpa fix the tub.

Slowing down is undesired,
But sleeping some is still required.
Though the sugar’s kept us wired
It’s impossible to not get tired.

Things One and Two are fast asleep
And even for dad
Drowsiness starts to creep.

So thanks for reading this blog again,

Check back soon, I have to do ten!
