It’s time to check up on the two little Things;
Taking on the world and acting like they’re kings.
Licking up some frosting and filling up their pants,
Riding around in carts and getting spoiled by their aunts.
The baby shower’s not for us, but we don’t seem to mind,
So many aunts around, love’s not too hard to find.
When you’re always being held, everything’s hunky dory
It’s especially nice to grin and tell grandma a story.
Thing One’s crib is gone, it’s now a toddler bed.
A perfect chance to risk a fall and stand up on a head.
Switch, switch, switch and swivel in the director’s chair,
Visiting dad’s work after waking with bad hair.
When riding in the cart;
Mom will push us for a while
Since she’s quite the sweetheart.
It’s hard to wait for spring when the wind blows oh so fast,
For now we stand around and leave fingerprints on the glass.
While we wait inside, we’ll fight and scream and struggle
Except for a sweet moment or two when we decide to snuggle.
Thanks for reading this week's blog, I hope it's not a bore,
Check back next week to read again - I'm sure I'll write some more!
